West Bay - once known as Bridport Harbour this resort village is 1¼ miles from Eype. A small and interesting coastal Market town with market days being Wednesday & Saturday. Around West Bay you may also recognise some of the scenery from the television series 'Harbour Lights' with Nick Berry!!
Abbotsbury - famed for its unique swannery and semi tropical garden. Take the coast road from West Bay through Burton Bradstock for a breath-taking panorama of the Chesil Beach and Deadman’s Bay.
Golden Cap - at 626 feet this is the highest sea cliff on the south coast of England, so called because of the reflection of the sun off the golden sandstone.
Lyme Regis - made famous by Jane Austen in Persuasion. The setting for John Fowles book and film 'The French Lieutenant’s Woman' with Meryl Streep. A town filled with ancient history and some of the best fossil hunting to be found anywhere.
Dorchester - the County Town of Dorset. The heart of Thomas Hardy’s “Wessex”. A delightful drive across the Dorset Downs and a visit to the Dorchester County Museum is a must for those interested in the history of old Dorset!
